Mariemont, Ohio from Fairfax, Ohio March 25, 2014 2:08 pm–2:44 pm started sunny and warm; got cloudy with light snow; then heavier, thick blowing snow, then darker with pelting hard little snowballs 39 °F at beginning; dropped to 31 °F (windchill 22 °F) long-sleeved shirt, leggings, flannel-lined jeans, snow pants, wool socks, wool fleece–lined slides, fleece jacket, winter coat, fleece-lined wool hat with earflaps, bare hands(!) (removed scarf and put in backpack; removed gloves and put in coat pocket—both before I started drawing since it was so warm—big mistake!) shoulders and head covered with snow by end some cars wind blowing snow reduced visibility fingers got very cold, red, hurt a lot in second half of drawing scene changed greatly with weather craziness brushed and blew off snow from drawing—totally covered by end (some areas of snow froze to drawing; thawed, pooled, dried later inside, overnight) had to yell when I warmed hands, inside, in sink (to keep from crying)–then immediately jump on my bike and cycle to pick up Sam
