Fairfax, Ohio     September 7, 2014     8:19 pm–9:30 pm     cool and dark (not humid!)     71 °F     short-sleeve shirt, hiking pants, sandals, hair pulled back     so exhausted I had to have a nap before I went out to draw     light came on above me just after I started     gentle breeze     punctuated rush of traffic, snippets of music     cars parking and leaving at gas station next to me     industrial buzz, cricket chirping     woman’s voice (incomprehensible) on loudspeaker     man crossed street, (went to convenience store?), came to look before returning     inadvertantly scared a bunny (went tearing off) by fallen apples under tree on way back
