Fairfax, Ohio     March 13, 2014     9:01 am–9:20 am     unpleasantly cold and sunny     19 °F (windchill around 10 °F)     long-sleeved shirt, leggings, flannel-lined jeans, snow pants, wool socks, wool fleece–lined slides, fleece jacket, fleece scarf, winter coat, fleece-lined wool hat with earflaps, fuzzy gloves     exuberant windchimes     joyful birdsong     church bells playing hymn     ink flash froze on paper and pen     fingers (thumbs especially) got really cold and hurt a lot     (everything thawed later inside)
