Fairfax, Ohio January 24, 2014 10:46 am–10:53 am insanely cold 7 °F long-sleeved shirt, leggings, fleece-lined jeans, fleece jacket, fleece pullover, fleece scarf, snow pants, winter coat, two pair wool socks (one fuzzy, one ragg), snow boots, thin gloves inside ski gloves, fleece-lined wool hat with earflaps sat directly on snow birds talking, fighting, tweeting, calling dull traffic fingers got cold, red, and hurt despite thick, clumsy gloves ink froze on paper before it soaked in—thawed later inside, soaked in, and dried frozen ink chunks scampered off reed pen and scattered across paper—blew them off before coming inside glasses fogged up
