Fairfax, Ohio     October 13, 2014     7:31 pm–8:45 pm     dark and windy     74 °F     long-sleeved shirt, jeans, socks, shoes, hair pulled back     savory smell of “Mexican” fast food     cricket chirping     airplane roaring overhead, casting light down     traffic rushing by me in waves     a few pedestrians came up behind me, passed silently     truck growling away from gas station     uneven lights as cars passed, turned     metal clanking, pounding, clanging somewhere not too far away     uneasy rustling of trees
